Option Studios

The Fall 2024 Option Studio Q&A session was held on Monday, August 12 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. EST. Ballots are now open and can be filled out here. Ballots will close on Friday, August 16 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Students who do not ballot on time will be assigned to any available section.

All Fall 2024 Option Studios are open to MARC, MLA and MUD students. 

MARC Thesis 

The Fall 2024 MARC Thesis Seminar Q&A session was held on Thursday, July 25, 12:00-2:00 p.m. EST.

 

Ballots will open on July 25 and close on Monday, July 29, 11:59 p.m. EST. Students may only submit one ballot.

Studio Abroad

Design Build

The following are descriptions for the three ARC395H1 design/build sections offered in the Summer 2024 session. These courses are available by application to current Year 3 and Year 4 undergraduate students in any of our Architectural Studies programs.

ARC2014YS: Design Studio 4

In preparation of your Winter 2024 ARC2014YS: Design Studio 4, we've provided  information pertaining to the various studio topics offered by our instructors this term below. While the whole studio will work on the same site, program and deliverables throughout the semester, each instructor will stake a starting point and frame a specific approach for their group.

Students will work in pairs for the entire semester. We ask that your team submit your ranked studio preference through the Comprehensive Studio Ballot no later than November 29th, 2024 at 6:00pm EST. Only one (1) submission per group is required.

Studies Abroad

The Daniels Faculty will be offering two global studios to our graduate students in the Summer 2023. The first one, "X-Athenas" will travel to Athens Greece and work on public spaces across the city in collaboration with students from the Department of Architecture, University of Patras. The second one, “Developing Micro-Public Spaces” will focus on the design of new typologies of public spaces in the Medina of Fez, Morocco in collaboration with the School of Architecture and Industrial Design at the University of EuroMed in Fez, Morocco and the Municipality of Fez.

MARC need to review all descriptions and videos for ARC3020Y. There are a total of 12 ARC studios offered this Fall 2021. MLA students need to review all LAN3016Y descriptions and videos and will ballot to rank these two options.

Ballots will be open on August 30th and the deadline to submit is Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 8:00am EST for MARC students, and Thursday, Sept. 2 at noon, 12:00pm EST for MLA students. Students may only submit one ballot.

Summer 2021

Revit Skills Summer Workshop

Wed, Aug 4th - Tues, Aug 17th, 2021.
This optional two-week intensive workshop will introduce graduate MARC students with a well-rounded knowledge of Autodesk Revit tools and techniques. The practical skills will be established around content creation, data management and representation. These techniques will be provided by using careful studies of a residential building precedent. Interested students should RSVP no later than July 26th, 2021.
