DANIELS GRADUATING AWARDS - ACTION REQUIRED If you would like to be considered for Project-Based Graduating Awards
Good afternoon,
You are invited to submit your thesis project and/or other samples of work to be considered for Daniels faculty project-based graduating awards. Your submission will be reviewed by the Awards Committee.
The below listed awards require student project submission(s) to be provided via online application. Graduate Students who are graduating in June or November are eligible to apply for the following graduating awards:

Awarded to one outstanding graduating student in the Master of Architecture program based on innovation, integrity, and scholarship in architectural and/or environmental design research.

Canadian Architect Student Awards of Excellence |

Annual student awards that are given for design excellence in architecture students' final year projects. The winners are published in Canadian Architect magazine alongside the professional award winners. |
Heather M. Reisman Gold Medal in Design |
MARC, MLA, MUD |
The Heather M. Reisman Gold Medal in Design is awarded to the graduating student demonstrating exceptional achievement in design in architecture, landscape architecture, or urban design |
Irving Grossman Prize |

The Irving Grossman Prize is awarded to students demonstrating excellence and innovation in the final design thesis in the area of multiple-unit housing or adaptive re-use of buildings for housing, and on the basis of professional promise in one or both of these areas. |
Kuwabara-Jackman Architecture Thesis Gold Medal |

The Kuwabara-Jackman Architecture Thesis Gold Medal is awarded to the student judged by the Faculty to have completed the most outstanding Master of Architecture thesis. |
OAA Architectural Guild Medal

Awarded to a graduating student in the Architecture program to recognize exceptional leadership through design excellence combined with innovative approaches to sustainability in an assignment or project involving exemplary responses to the climate crisis in a project or assignment.

As a reminder, the above listed awards are the only graduating awards that require an application. All graduating Daniels students will be automatically considered for the rest of the available graduating awards for which they qualify for.
