Plan, Section, and Elevation for Time Management: The Architecture of Getting Stuff Done
-
Room 200, 1 Spadina Crescent
In the shadow of our time management skills lurks a familiar nemesis know as procrastination. In this interactive workshop facilitated by Learning Strategist Benjamin Pottruff, participants will consider some of the underlying causes of procrastination behaviours before reviewing the corrective habits of goal setting, task triage, and getting started. We will then look to the drawing representations of the plan, section, and elevation as a metaphor to discuss three key time management strategies – semester plan, weekly template, and weekly to-do list. These time management strategies are intended to help you see and anticipate future work, support a practical work/life balance, and enhance prioritization. This workshop is open to both undergraduate and graduate students, registration is not required.
