Do you know your unique value proposition? Understanding how to network is essential in today's economy. In order to network, you must know what you offer in return. Join us in this interactive workshop led by Wayne Harris, an experienced coach in networking, branding, emotional and cultural intelligence. Wayne will be joined by Michael Leckman, an alumnus of our program who can speak to what they look for in students applying to their practice.

Wayne Harris

Wayne HarrisOriginally from Montreal, Quebec and having coached and mentored teens and adults in basketball, afterschool programs and career paths, Wayne prides himself in his ability to understand people and their situations by leveraging emotional and cultural intelligence.

Since being in the Greater Toronto Area, Wayne has mentored, lectured, coached teens through adults in customizing their value to the market and positioning themselves to win. He has also developed young adult programming at the City of North York and the Citizens for the Advancement of Community Development in Mississauga.

Today he is a sales professional with over 25 years in IT, with 20 of those working exclusively in Cybersecurity technology and solutions in the Canadian, US, and Caribbean markets. His communication and relationship building skills are leveraged for private and professional public speaking events. His Super Powers are focused in the areas of Emotional Intelligence, Social Anxiety, and Sales Coaching.

Wayne holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Business Administration from the University of Leicester and several IT Security related certifications. He is also a certified coach with the Certified Coaches Federation. He’s married to Angie for over 25 years and has two teenaged children.

Michael Leckman

Michael LeckmanIn his 28 years with the Diamond Schmitt Architects, Michael Leckman has been recognized for design excellence, leadership in energy efficient design and for shaping a critical debate as Vice Chair of Toronto’s Design Review Panel. He has also contributed to the profession as guest critic, lecturer and mentor at schools of architecture across Canada.

Michael’s major completed works include the Bahen Centre at the University of Toronto, the Governor General Medal-winning York University Student Centre, the Esplanade in Medicine Hat, the Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence in Ottawa, the School of Law at Thompson Rivers University, the Centre for Green Cities at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto, and the Marilyn I.
