Join the Building Black Success Through Design (BBSD) mentoring program to celebrate the incredible work of this year's talented mentees during the 2025 Showcase on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. ET. in Main Hall.
This year, BBSD participants have explored the theme "Design for Belonging," creating architecture, art, and design projects that reflect identity, inclusion, and community. The Wildseed Centre for Art and Activism was the chosen site for exploration and intervention. Through mentor skills-sharing/development, relationship-building and confidence, hands-on workshops, and site explorations, participants have created meaningful projects that will be displayed at this special event.
Come and witness the next generation of Black designers, artists, and architects showcase their hard work and creativity! Please register in advance.
Building Black Success Through Design (BBSD) is a free 12-week mentoring program for Black high school students interested in architecture, art, and design. Offered by the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto, BBSD aims to inspire Black students to pursue excellence and innovation within design industries and academia, enhancing diversity and building Black success through design.
