Constructed with Light: The One Spadina Project
— Photographs by Peter Maccallum

Commissioned by the Faculty, Peter MacCallum has been documenting the revitalization of One Spadina Crescent — the future home of the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design — since February, 2014. View a collection of his work along with a large model of our ambitious building project. One of Toronto’s most prominent and historic addresses, One Spadina’s renewal represents the largest architecture school expansion ever undertaken in Canada.

Low-Fab | MASS Design Group
Featuring work by MASS Design Group, Lo-Fab showcases two projects: The GHESKIO Cholera Treatment Center in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti; and the never-before exhibited Ilima Primary School in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Peruse the exhibition in our Eric Arthur Gallery, designed by Toronto-based Kohn Shnier Architects.

3D printed models
View 3D printed models, created by first year Master of Architecture students as part of the Visual Communications course taught by Assistant Professor Brady Peters. The models will be on display in our front lobby off of College Street.

Shore + Moffat Lirbary (Saturday only)
Designed by Kohn Shnier Architects, the Shore + Moffat Library holds over 35,000 volumes, with a focus on contemporary architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design (20th & 21st centuries).

gritlab tours
This year we will once again be offering limited tours of our award winning gritlab (Green Roof Innovation Testing Laboratory) on the roof of 230 College Street. The gritlab includes 33 test beds, 270 sensors, a weather station, solar photovoltaic technology, green wall testing sites and a beautiful view of the city. Due to capacity constraints, we are offering three tours per day at 10:00am, 11:00am, and 12:00pm. Visitors will sign up for tours on a first come-first served basis in the lobby of the Faculty on the day of the tours. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Note: due to space restrictions, we may not have the capacity to accommodate everyone interested in joining a tour of the gritlab. Participants must sign up on a first come-first served basis on the day of the tour.
