27.06.08 - Mason White Appointed Assistant Professor of Architecture

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mason White as Assistant Professor of Architecture in the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design.
Professor White holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech, and a Master of Architecture degree (post-professional) from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. He has taught at the Knowlton School of Architecture at Ohio State University, where he held the Lefevre Emerging Practitioner Fellowship in 2003-2004, and at the College of Architecture, Art & Planning at Cornell University in 2004-2005. Since 2005, he has been a Special Lecture here at the Daniels Faculty, and served this past academic year as Director of the Master of Architecture Program.
He has worked in the offices of Kohn Pedersen Fox in New York, and of Machado and Silvetti in Boston. Since 2002, he has been a partner in his own firm “Lateral Office” together with Lola Sheppard. Lateral Office has won the Young Architects Forum award from the Architectural League of New York, and has been a finalist in numerous recent architectural and urban design competitions. Professor White has been extensively published in architectural journals, and the work of Lateral Office included in exhibitions throughout North America.
