25.03.21 - The Centre for Landscape Research will participate in Melbourne Design Week

The Daniels Faculty's Centre for Landscape Research, led by director Fadi Masoud, is participating in 2021 Melbourne Design Week, a major Australian design conference.

Masoud will be taking part in the conference's Climate Imaginary Roundtable, a Zoom-based online discussion among designers whose work engages with climate change. The roundtable will take place on Monday, March 29th, at 9 p.m. EST. (That's March 30 at 12 p.m., Melbourne time.)

The Centre for Landscape Research has also contributed work to Melbourne Design Week's Climate Imaginary Exhibition, an online showcase of climate-change-related design from around the world, hosted by the University of Melbourne's School of Design. The exhibition showcases a growing body of work from local and international design professionals, researchers, and students that offers visions of an imaginative commitment to addressing the climate emergency. The CLR's section highlights the centre's work on novel land use and landscape architectural adaptation strategies in coastal areas threatened by rising sea levels.

Both the roundtable and the exhibition are online. Use the links below to find out how to join.

Melbourne Design Week will run from March 26 to April 5.
