14.04.08 - MArch students design mobile community kitchen: project launches April 26
Mount Dennis Community Kitchen has joined forces with Master of Architecture students in ARC3016 Assembling a Molecular Architecture, led by Professor Adrian Blackwell, to design and build a mobile community kitchen for the historic Mount Dennis neighbourhood. While it is unusual for a burgeoning community group to receive weekly architectural presentations, it is equally unusual for architectural students to interact with a real client in the form of a working community organization – and then deliver the project at full scale.
This new kind of dynamic has produced an architecture of mobility and variability based in the social realities of Toronto. Join us for the project launch at noon on April 26th at Gladhurst Park (Eglinton Ave W @ Jane St.) For more information, please visit http://moleculararchitecture.blogspot.com/
