14.09.15 - Charles Stankievech to lecture at The New York Art Book Fair

Director of the Visual Studies Program and Assistant Professor Charles Stankievech is scheduled to lecture at The New York Art Book Fair presented by Printed Matter at MoMA PS1. On Sunday, September 20 at 1:00pm, Stankievech will join K. Verlag and Regine Ehleiter for a discussion titled "Paginated Exhibitions".

"A conversation between co-Director of K. Verlag, Charles Stankievech, and art historian Regine Ehleiter about the contemporary phenomena of publishing as a platform for exhibition making. Case studies produced by K. Verlag, as found in books, events and exhibitions, are contextualized within the historical arc of publishing and the curatorial."

This year’s tenth annual New York Art Book Fair takes place from September 18th to September 20th with a preview held on the evening of Thursday, September 17th. The Fair’s free events will showcase “over 370 booksellers, antiquarians, artists, institutions and independent publishers from twenty-eight countries.”
