The dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design and two professors in the Faculty are winners of awards from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) and the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA). Professors George Baird, dean of the faculty, Barry Sampson and Larry Richards are winners of RAIC Awards of Excellence, announced May 4. Richards will receive the Award of Excellence in the advocate for architecture category, given to an individual who has contributed to the elevation of architecture in the public realm by means other than the practice of architecture.
