Gardens

The site is located along Dundas St. W., which is a major corridor in the city of Toronto. The current low-rise nature of the commercial/residential street wall is being challenged by new mid-rise developments that are being proposed for the area. This project proposes a residential building organized around light and transitional spaces. The units are designed like houses that are placed in the sky and organized around a central atrium. Most units are given a large outdoor space. The approach to these units is also carefully considered as one must pass through various gardens and exterior spaces to enter their unit; thus creating a pleasant experience for residents and visitors.
