Chandni Rana "Capturing Time; But Failing"
This reality explores the nonlinear nature of time and the infinite realities co-existing within Scottish Castles. The ‘Right to Roam’ creates a range of episodic memories; a long-term consciousness developed by experiences rather than a chronological timeframe. This project condenses the essence of Scottish Castles and their realties into a single moment.
The reality of history and its architecture is constructed not by the progression of time, but rather the narrative of times. Historical architecture cannot be defined by its relationship to a singular timeline, hence, time within architecture cannot be measured. Instead, by using memory as a device capturing moments within historical architecture, there is an alternative method of existing within these spaces.
