Peter North
Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream
Peter North is an Assistant Professor in the Landscape Architecture program at the University of Toronto. He teaches graduate design studio, site technologies, and brownfield reclamation courses. He graduated from the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Program at the University of Toronto in 1997 and received the Master in Landscape Architecture degree from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design in 2001. He is a partner with Alissa North, in North Design Office, which has received recognition for entries in several international design competitions. He has worked on many award winning projects throughout Canada and the USA. Prior to establishing North Design Office, Peter worked at the offices of Martha Schwartz, Design Workshop, and was a senior landscape architect at Janet Rosenberg and Associates. Professor North has been a guest critic and lecturer in landscape architecture programs across North America.
